Prohibition exhibit at the Sutton Museum
Booze, brothels and border life. A new exhibit in Sutton tells the story of Brome-Missisquoi's colourful past, filled with stories and songs of the Roaring Twenties during the U.S. Prohibition. Jacquie visited the Sutton Museum to hear about the boisterous history of hamlets like Highwater and Abercorn when, almost a century ago, illegal gin stills and bordellos straddled the border.
