La Vie Parisienne in Quebec City
La Vie Parisienne, written by Jacques Offenbach in the mid 1800's, is a comedic look at Parisian society of the day... the food, the champagne, the parties and affairs and vaudevillian vigor is the perfect material for an operetta. Jacquie Czernin brings us all the energy backstage at the Opéra de Québec's production, which is on stage this week at the Grand Theatre.
