The Shigawake connection to the Academy Award nominations

Paul Almond, the 81-year old director-turned-novelist who summers at the family homestead in Shigawake, has for years screened dozens of movies each winter as a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He talked with Jacquie from his home in Malibu about the Oscar season. This, on the eve of the 2013 Academy Award nominations.  **Paul Almond will be opening the ImagiNation Writers Festival in Quebec City in April where he will talk about his series of history-based novels, The Alford Saga.**
