Vikki V. for The Magnified World by Grace O'Connell
I haven't been so emotionally touched by a book in along time. O'Connell was incredibly adept at giving the reader the same dreamlike, confused experience that her protagonist Maggie had. I felt the things she felt, and desired release just as she did. In a sea of plot-driven, high-concept novels this debut was illuminating and resonated with me in a deeper way.
