The Maritimes

You can find the highest tides in the world in the Bay of Fundy, and the literature of the land offers readers the same dramatic highs and lows. Close to Home host Carmen Klassen put together a panel to find the best of the Bay and beyond in Maritime literature.

Valerie Compton is a writer and teacher who recently published her first novel, Tide Road.

Nancy Bauer is a novelist and columnist. She is one of the founders of the Writers' Federation of New Brunswick and founder of the Maritime Writers Workshop.

Alexander MacLeod is a 2010 Giller nominee and associate professor of Atlantic Canadian Studies at Saint Mary's University.
