BloodLines series to air on CBC's IDEAS

For the past few weeks, we've been offering you original fiction, nonfiction and poetry from GG winners and finalists as part of our BloodLines series. And tonight, you can listen to them on CBC's IDEAS with Paul Kennedy.

On Wednesday, November 27 at 9 p.m. ET, IDEAS with Paul Kennedy will be devoted to the Canada Writes BloodLines series. Four of our authors—Elizabeth Abbott, Julie Bruck, JJ Lee and Alexi Zentner—will be reading from their BloodLines pieces and chatting with Paul about the significance and thematics of blood in their writing.

Inspired by this year's Massey Lectures by Lawrence Hill, Blood: The Stuff of Life, BloodLines features original writing from some of the country's best and most provocative writers—all GG winners and finalists.

And we're also looking for your stories of family bloodlines—you could win $1,000 from the Canada Council of the Arts in our BloodLines challenge.

To encourage thoughtful and respectful conversations, first and last names will appear with each submission to CBC/Radio-Canada's online communities (except in children and youth-oriented communities). Pseudonyms will no longer be permitted.
