Twisting Titles Twitter Challenge

It’s time to have some fun with your favourite books.

For today’s Twitter Challenge we are asking you to be creative with well-known works of literature. In 140 characters or less, paint a scene incorporating one or more titles of famous novels. You must use #CanadaWrites for us to track your entries.

Some examples of what we are looking for:

While the DJ blasted Moby, Dick slid towards the dance floor, his head full of pick-up lines and his heart bent on Persuasion #CanadaWrites

1984 heralded a Brave New World of corporate sponsorship at the Olympics, and Al Dune, briefcase in hand, was ready to cash in #canadawrites

“Really, Fifty Shades of Grey?” “Absolutely! I told you we’re the best paint store in town!” #canadawrites

You have until 7 p.m. ET (or 4 p.m. PT) today to Tweet your entries.

Canada Writes’ Daphne Santos-Vieira, writer Sara O’Leary, and Cozy Classics creators Jack and Holman Wang will be reading your Tweets throughout the day and choosing the shortlist. Out of this shortlist, Nick Mount, one of our country’s most-beloved professors, will select a winner.

The grand prize for the competition is a 32G iPod Touch. And we'll also be randomly giving away several Cozy Classics books to participants throughout the day.
