This year’s readers were Oana Avasilichoaei, Jen Currin, Katia Grubisic, Ray Hsu, Dave Margoshes, Sachiko Murakami, Billeh Nickerson, Matt Rader, Jennifer Still and Bruce Taylor. We will be running Q&As with them over the next two weeks to find out how they tackled the challenge of reading all of this year’s entries.

CBC Radio, along with our partners the Canada Council for the ArtsAir Canada’s enRoute magazine, and The Banff Centre, would like to congratulate everyone who’s made the longlist! And a big thank you to everyone who participated this year.

Be sure to check back on September 17 when we will be announcing the shortlist for the prize.

To encourage thoughtful and respectful conversations, first and last names will appear with each submission to CBC/Radio-Canada's online communities (except in children and youth-oriented communities). Pseudonyms will no longer be permitted.
