Trent McClellan is representing the Atlantic region for Canada Reads 2013. He is defending February by Lisa Moore.

One of Canadian comedy's fastest rising stars, Trent McClellan is a regular on the comedy festival and club circuit, as well as on Sirius, XM Satellite and CBC Radio and Television, CTV and the Comedy Network. Hailing from Corner Brook, Newfoundland, he currently resides in Calgary.

Trent has delivered memorable performances at the HubCap Comedy Festival in Moncton, the St. John's Comedy Festival and of course the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. He was selected as a featured performer in Alberta's New West Comedy Spectacular on CBC and was also chosen to perform at the Cracking Up the Capital event at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa.

After just three years he was given his own Comedy Now stand-up special and has also been a regular performer on CBC Radio's The Debaters.

Trent was also one of the subjects of the documentary At Humour's Edge, which explored why the people of Newfoundland and Labrador rely so heavily on the power of humour.

With a degree in English and history from Memorial University, Trent loves books as much as he does making people laugh.
