How to watch or listen to the Canada Reads 2013 debates


Whether you want to watch, listen or chat online, there's a way to take in the Canada Reads 2013 action. The debates take place February 11-14, 2013, so mark your calendars!

In person:

The debates will have a live studio audience each day Feb. 11-14 at 10 a.m. ET. If you are in the Toronto area and would like to attend, email to book your tickets. Space is limited! RSVP now and you'll be entered to win a set of the Canada Reads books. We're giving away one set each day of debate. The rules and regulations are here.

On the web:

CBC Books will livestream the shows and post-show Q&As and hold a live chat 10:00 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. ET Feb. 11-14. An on-demand video of the debate will be available in the afternoon each day.

On the radio:

The debates will air on CBC Radio One Feb. 11-14 at 11:06 a.m. and again at 8:05 p.m. (11:36 a.m. and 8:35 p.m. NT). They will air on Sirius 159 at 11 a.m., 4 p.m. and 11 p.m. ET (after the news).

On television:

You can watch the debates Feb. 11-14 on documentary channel at 7 p.m. ET, with a repeat at midnight ET.

An encore presentation of the debates will take place each day on CBC-TV Feb. 12-15 at 1 p.m. local time. 

Recap action:

There will be a one-hour recap special on CBC-TV at noon local time on Saturday, Feb. 16.

There will be a one-hour recap special on CBC Radio One at 4:05 p.m. (4:35 p.m. NT) on Saturday, Feb. 16. It will also air on Sirius 159 on Saturday, Feb. 16, at 2 p.m. ET (after the news) and Sunday, Feb. 17, at 2 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET (after the news).
