From the outset, The Orenda by Joseph Boyden was considered among the favourites to win Canada Reads 2014. It was critically acclaimed (although not without criticism), but many Canada Reads fans felt Wab Kinew did a masterful job of highlighting the book's strengths and addressing it's perceived weaknesses. In the clip above, the panelists weigh in on the question: How could The Orenda change Canada?
