Canada Reads is coming and CBC got in on the action from coast to coast to coast, with author interviews, great local programming and more. Below, you can relive some of the great Canada Reads events that took place.

Thunder Bay

Superior Morning's Lisa Laco hosted a discussion about roots and writing with Jane Urquhart, author of Away, and Richard Wagamese, author of Indian Horse. You can watch a video of this event here.


Prince Edward Island

Island Morning is hosting its very own battle of the books, where island residents defend their favourite Canada Reads 2013 contender. Listen to their pitches here.


Montreal

Host Sue Smith and the rest of the Homerun team celebrated Hugh MacLennan's classic novel Two Solitudes with panelist Jay Baruchel, who joined Sue as a special co-host for this live show.

Toronto

Fresh Air host Mary Ito was joined by award-winning author Jane Urquhart to speak about her book Away; Don Kelly, who talked about Indian Horse; and Radio-Canada morning host Yves Gerard Mehou-Loko, who discussed Two Solitudes. Diana Swain spoke about The Age of Hope and Tom Power talked up February.
