This is your last chance to have your say, Canada! The voting for the Canada Reads Top 10 Essential Canadian Novels of the Decade closes on Sunday, November 7, at midnight ET. One vote per person. The race is a close one, so every vote matters!
If you haven't cast your vote yet, get a little friendlier with the Top 40 by checking out this week's posts exploring the books:
In each post, we look at a selection of novels from the Top 40. Everything from The Birth House by Ami McKay to Essex County by Jeff Lemire makes an appearance on one of these lovely lists.
Also closing on Sunday is our Top 10 prediction contest. Tell us which books you think will make the Top 10! The two entrants closest to getting it right — who knows, maybe someone will nail all 10! — will win a library of all the books on the Top 40 list. (Ties will be broken by a random draw.) Submit your entry here.
What do you think, Canada? Can you handle the suspense? The Top 10 will be revealed by Jian Ghomeshi on Q on Tuesday, November 9, and will be available right here in print at 10:30 a.m. ET.
Thanks for playing, Canada! We loved having your input into the Top 40 and the Top 10. We'll definitely be looking for you to help us out again in the future!
