Canada Reads is still looking for that fabulous read you can't put down! The one you're dying to finish but don't want to end. We want you to help us find it — the essential Canadian novel of the last 10 years.
Award-winning author Vincent Lam offered us his pick. No, he didn't vote for his own wildly successful book, Bloodletting and Miraculous Cures. You know, the one that was made into an HBO Canada series starring the Iceman himself, Shawn Ashmore. Dr. Lam prescribed another award winner that received equally high praise. Many of you offered it up as the essential read of the decade too.
We know it's a hard question, Vincent. The good doctor is one of the few authors we chatted with so far who actually suggested just one novel. We also know it's a controversial question that inherently sparks debate. That's the point. We want all of Canada to talk about their cherished Canadian novel of the last 10 years. Well, we don't want you to just talk, we also want you to submit! Send us your vote. You can use our online form, or drop by on Twitter or Facebook. Your chance to nominate a great read ends at midnight on Monday, October 25 — along with your chance to win a set of 40 books. So speak up and be counted!
