The 2017 CBC Short Story Prize shortlist revealed

Five authors have made the 2017 CBC Short Story Prize shortlist.

The finalists are:

The shortlist was selected by this year's jury, comprised of Jen Sookfong Lee, Shyam Selvadurai and Marina Endicott.

Each of the finalists will receive $1,000 from the Canada Council for the Arts and have their story published on CBC Books.

The winner will receive  $6,000 from the Canada Council for the Arts and a 10-day writing residency at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity and their story will be published in Air Canada enRoute magazine
