Canada Reads 2016 authors discuss reading, writing and touring Canada

Watch the video above to get to know the five authors of Canada Reads 2016 as they join social media panellist Azita Ardakani for a chat about their books.

Ardakani is the founder of the social media company Lovesocial and was named to the Forbes "30 under 30" list in 2015. As the Canada Reads social media panellist, she won't participate in the live debates, but will read the list along with Canada and lead the conversation online.

Check out last year's Google Hangout chat (watch it here), where the authors talked about everything from their books to advice for aspiring writers to their favourite Canadian food.

The Canada Reads 2016 books are: Birdie by Tracey Lindberg Bone and Bread by Saleema NawazMinister Without Portfolio by Michael Winter, The Hero's Walk by Anita Rau Badami and The Illegal by Lawrence Hill.
