If you're looking for a really quiet place to read, then consider heading to China.
Located on a secluded beach near the port city of Qinhuangdao is the Sanlian Public Library, a 5000-sq-ft library that people have to walk to!
That's right. There are no roads within sight, and therefore, no sounds of passing motorists. Just the lapping waves of the East China Sea.
The beautiful facility, featuring enormous windows that let in loads of natural light, opened earlier this month and has become something of a holiday destination for book lovers and curious tourists.
The Daily Mail sent a photographer there recently to explore what it was like. The photos certainly don't disappoint. Imagine borrowing a book from there!
