A new edition of the The Official Scrabble Players Dictionary was recently published this summer and it includes more than 5,000 new words, CBC News reports. Many of these words are new words that have become popular through technological trends, such as "selfie" and "hashtag." Other additions are the Canadian spellings of words like "favourite" and "centimetre." But the most surprising additions of all are words from Canadian culture that have never been able to be played in Scrabble - until now.
