Hunter S. Thompson: True or False Quiz

Hunter Stockton Thompson was born July 18, 1937, in Louisville, Kentucky. By the time of his death in 2005, Thompson had left an indelible mark as one of the most controversial and unique voices in modern American writing. The stories about his eccentric behaviour and substance-fuelled destructive tendencies are legion and perhaps overshadow his influential books. They include his memoir about his time following the Hell's Angels in California (Hell's Angels: The Strange and Terrible Saga of the Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs) and an autobiographical novel, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Indeed, Thompson would have been hard pressed to create a character that was larger-than-life than himself.

To mark Thompson's birthday, we present a true or false quiz that looks at the exploits of this renegade writer.
