Happy birthday, Alice Munro!


Nobel Prize-winning author and Canadian literary legend Alice Munro turns 83 today. Munro has been writing for more than 40 years and her books are perennial nominees and winners of prestigious literary prizes, including the Governor General's Literary Award for Fiction, the Man Booker International Prize and the Scotiabank Giller Prize. In 2012, she announced that she was retiring from writing.
