The book publisher's imprint Gallery Books has acquired After, a fan-fiction series inspired by the boy band One Direction published on Wattpad, in a "mid-six figure" deal, according to Publisher's Weekly.

The online series, written by 25-year-old Anna Todd, is about a sheltered young woman named Tessa who leaves home for college but soon finds herself in a wild love affair with a bad-boy reimagining of One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles.

The three-volume series will be edited and then published in print and e-book formats starting in November, while the original version will still be available on Wattpad.

Todd began writing After - reportedly the first work of fiction she's ever written - about a year ago and her stories have received more than 800 million reads on the popular writing and reading social network.
