Margaret Atwood makes MaddAddam-inspired beer

What can't she do? In the latest edition of Margaret-Atwood-does-it-all, the renowned Canadian author has teamed up with craft beer company Beau's All Natural Brewing to create a beer of her very own.

The limited-edition gruit ale is inspired by her latest novel MaddAddam. Instead of traditional hops, the beer is made with herbs and botanicals that draw on the foraging theme in the book.

The beer will debut at the Session Toronto Craft Beer Festival on June 13 and will later be for sale in Ontario. The profits will go to the Pelee Island Bird Observatory, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to the study and conservation of birds.
