Julianne Moore joins Hunger Games film cast

The Hunger Games
film series has just added some major star power.

Oscar-nominated actress Julianne Moore is signed on to play Alma Coin, leader of the underground rebellion against the Capitol, the L.A. Times reports.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1 and 2 are being directed by I Am Legend director Francis Lawrence, and are slated to be released November 2014 and November 2015, respectively.

This coming November sees the release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, the immediate sequel to the first film, which grossed nearly $700 million worldwide last year.

Other new cast members recently announced include Game of Thrones' star Natalie Dormer, who will play filmmaker Cressida and American actor Evan Ross, who takes on the role of Messalla.
