This week, Forbes released its list of highest-earning celebrities in 2013 and E.L. James came in at #3, tied with Simon Cowell and Howard Stern at $95 million apiece. She just edged out James Patterson, who landed on the list at #6, thanks to his $91 million in earnings this year.

James owes all her success to her popular 50 Shades of Grey series. Sam Taylor-Johnson is set to direct the film adaptation.

Rounding out the top 10 were Madonna ($125 million), Steven Spielberg ($100 million), Glenn Beck ($90 million), Michael Bay ($82 million), Jerry Bruckheimer ($80 million) and Lady Gaga ($80 million).
