Forbes has released its annual celebrity power list. The 2013 list, which uses fame as the power metric instead of financial earnings for its celebrity list, has five authors in the Top 100. The highest-ranked author? Fifty Shades of Grey scribe E.L. James, coming in at #42. The other authors on the list are familiar names: James Patterson at #44, Stephen King at #75, J.K. Rowling at #82 and Suzanne Collins rounding out the literary contingent at #87.

Relevant to literary lovers is the celebrity who came in at #1: Oprah Winfrey. Despite taking her eponymous talk show off the air in 2011 to focus on her own television network, Oprah's stamp of approval still gives books big sales bumps: both books selected for Oprah's Book Club 2.0, Wild by Cheryl Strayed and The Twelve Tribes of Hattie by Ayana Mathis, saw sales spike.

Rounding out the Forbes Celebrity 100 Top 10 are Lady Gaga, Steven Spielberg, Beyonce Knowles, Madonna, Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi, Roger Federer, Justin Bieber and Ellen DeGeneres.
