Happy Canada Day, everyone! Our nation's birthday is a time to look back at everything Canada and Canadians have accomplished during the 144 years since Confederation. But it's also a time to look forward, and get excited about what's to come! Which is why we wanted to use today to celebrate 12 exciting voices shaking up the CanLit scene. We think their writing is provocative and poignant, fresh and frank, wry and wonderful, and worth reading.

These 12 writers are the future of this country's literature and we can't wait to see what they write next.
