After getting out of a very bad relationship that lasted a long 3 and a half years, I took a little bit of time away from dating and then decided to try telephone dating. This was before online dating. I started talking with this guy on the phone everyday for a couple weeks and then decided to meet for a low-key date. We went to a cafe and enjoyed our coffees together for about an hour. He then asked me if I wanted to take a ride with him in his car down by the bluffs. I didn't feel safe getting into his car so I suggested we go for a walk. We were in my neighbourhood and I know the area well and a lot of people in it. My date agreed, but said he had to just go get his car to pull it into the cafe parking lot, that he couldn't find a spot and had it parked further away and his ticket was up. So, I waited in the cafe and waited and he never returned. So, I walked home, gave him a call, asked him what happened to him. He informed me that he knew I was setting him up. That I tried to get him to go to the bluffs and have a bunch of guys jump him there. I didn't bother mentioning to him that he was the one who had first suggested going to the bluffs...
