Join us in celebrating 75 years of covering Canadian literature. October 23 marks the official launch of cbc.ca/books!
In honour of the occasion, we dove into the archives to find the most memorable moments in CBC's literary history and checked in with some of Canada's top authors.
The result: a video full of candid moments such as Leonard Cohen explaining the relationship between shoes and poetry to then-interviewer and former governor general Adrienne Clarkson.
Authors like Michael Winter, Vincent Lam, Anne Michaels and Jane Urquhart also fill in this equation: "CBC plus books equals ... ?"
Watch the video and tell us what you'll never forget from CBC's book coverage over the years.
