The growing influence of the Christian right on political discourse has become a familiar topic in American politics. According to Marci McDonald, that topic is one which we should be talking about much more in Canada as well.
McDonald is an award-winning journalist, and her latest book, The Armageddon Factor, deals with what she sees as a shrinking gap between religion and politics in Canada. According to McDonald, Canada's Christian right-wing think tanks and lobby groups have a strong foothold in the policy-making decisions of the federal Conservative party.
