Monday, May 3, 2010 |
Quebec author Louise Penny's mystery series is known for its charming francophone detective Armand Gamache, but it seems like Penny has done some charming of her own lately. Her book A Brutal Telling — the fifth in the Gamache series — has won the best mystery novel award from the Mystery Writers of America.
The CBC Book Club was pleased to feature Louise Penny last year. She stopped by the Book Club to explain the intimate relationship she has with her protagonist, and how she keeps that spark alive.
