A new mother's heartbreaking story

A new mother came to Saskatchewan's legislature with a story of absolute heartbreak. Her newborn daughter died in mid-March, just five hours after she was born.  Amanda Brass thinks her death could have been prevented.  This is her story, as she told it to reporters.

In two years time, Saskatchewan is set to run out of 306 phone numbers.  So meetings are starting to figure out how to implement the new 474 area code.  Garth speaks with the man crunching the numbers.

You thought this winter was bad?!?!

It was nothing compared to the winter of 1906-1907, according to Saskatchewan historian Bill Waiser.  That winter, the snow was so high, cattle carcasses were actually found in trees, after the snowmelt.
