 *55 Alive Driver Refresher Course

Hearing, eyesight, flexibility and reflexes change as we get older. These changes can affect driving, unless we learn how to compensate for them.

The 55-Alive course offers a refresher for drivers 50 and older. This six or eight -hour course will help you:

  • become more confident.
  • improve your awareness of traffic hazards.
  • learn about updates to traffic laws and new technology.
  • identify bad habits that creep into your driving over the years.

Trained instructors, mature drivers themselves, teach each course in a relaxed, supportive environment.

The course is presented using slides, videos and group discussion. Each participant receives a provincial driver's handbook, SGI booklet for the Older and Wiser Driver, and a course workbook.
