CANADA READS CONTENDERS
The debate begins next week. CBC Radio is broadcasting the 2008 edition of CANADA READS where five well-known Canadians champion their pick as the book all Canada should be reading. Leading up to that you can hear selections from all the books read by top actors. Each day Between the Covers will feature excerpts from one of the five contenders. CBC LITERARY AWARDS
This week Between The Covers has another literary offering. The winners of the 2007 CBC Literary Awards will be announced on Thurs Feb.21st and this week we will present readings of the english language winners.
Societe Radio-Canada and CBC Radio One are co-broadcasters of the CBC Literary Awards. The Canada Council for the Arts generously provides the prize money, and En Route magazine is our publishing partner. All three categories where open to both French and English speaking participants. Over the next five days on this
program,you’ll hear the winning entries in the English-language categories.
