Christine Tizzard is a Newfoundland native, chef and mother of two who’s been passionate about food, film, fashion and television for as long as she can remember. She was scouted in a mall fashion show at the age of 15 and began modeling for beauty campaigns around the world, after which she became a trained actor for both film and television. Through all of this, Christine’s obsession for food was there. She never forgot her love of cooking at an early age, when she would help her mother bake bread. She longed to return to those culinary roots.
Christine eventually enrolled in the Chef Training program at George Brown College in Toronto and went on to develop her skills at some of the top restaurants in Toronto, bringing her down-home attitude to big city kitchens. Fans of Best Recipes Ever will find that Christine's down-to-earth and vivacious personality is contagious. She believes in looking and feeling good and is always eager to share her enthusiasm for great food and good living with others. Her food philosophy? "Begin with the best ingredients and make it from scratch."
Christine Tizzard lives in Toronto with her husband and two children, ages 8 and 12. She is thrilled to join CBC Television and Canada's most popular daily food show, Best Recipes Ever.
