Almost Lost Arts

We recently spoke with John DeMont, author of A Good day's Work which looks at why people value people working in jobs from a former era. Listener Ken Curry sent along these before and after photos of books that he has restored. "The look of elation on my clients' faces, when they see that their treasured books have been brought back to life, makes it all worthwhile.  If you ask other binders, you'll find there is a story behind each book. The Jane Austen books are about the only thing my client's family brought with them when they emigrated to Canada."  Listen to the podcast of that BC Almanac show here
