The World Police and Fire Fighters Games came to Vancouver this month.  Thousands of athletes from police and fire stations from around the world.  This struck me as a pretty intriguing event.  You never, ever hear about a World Lawyer Games, or a World IT Developers Games. 

Hey everyone.  Just back from holidays, spent variously at an ocean beach, and a fast flowing stream.  The water was warm, the weather was good - so it was one of those lucky vacations we all hope for.  And speaking of which - how about horseshoes, that talisman of things lucky.
