On March 28, 30 student reporters shared their exclusive stories and provided an amazing day of wall-to-wall coverage on CBC Radio, television, online, and in The Vancouver Sun.
Armed with exceptional training from their mentors, the Final 30 hit the streets and gathered the material they needed to have their voices heard.
The students selected issues most important to them, and filed stories on the alarming increase in teen drug use, depression and cutting, the impact of a new grading system and profiled a 17 year old joining the army.
All 30 finalists received a $1,000 scholarship for their post-secondary studies, courtesy of Sylvan Learning Centres

See the students in action as they got ready to tell their stories live on News Day in B.C. from the CBC studios at 700 Hamilton Street.
