& Open House on Dec. 2 from 5:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Friday, December 2, 2011 is the 25th annual CBC British Columbia Food Bank Day. We are celebrating the incredible generosity of the CBC audience over the past quarter century. Millions of dollars have been raised and hundreds of thousands of British Columbians who need the services of food banks have benefitted from our annual event.
Again this year we are inviting the public to come to our Open House at the CBC Broadcast Centre in downtown Vancouver to see how we make radio, television and digital programming.
Doors are open at 5:30 a.m. with Rick Cluff and The Early Edition live in Studio 700. From 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. you can tour CBC Vancouver's integrated newsroom, meet your favorite CBC on air personalities and reporters and visit our archives.
All CBC B.C. radio local and regional shows are broadcasting special programs to help inspire you to donate. You can make a contribution to the Food Bank of your choice at the Open House, online anytime or call our pledge lines 1-866-226-4642 or 604-662-6470 on Friday December 2, 2011.

Join CBC's 25th Annual Food Bank Day in Victoria, Kelowna & Prince George
Victoria Listen to our special live broadcast of On the Island. Food bank volunteers will be on hand at the station from 5:30 - 9:00 a.m. to accept donations of food or money. The show includes local stories and contests with wonderful prizes to help raise money for Food Bank. Help us raise funds for Food Bank in Victoria!

Kelowna Join CBC Radio's Daybreak South and Radio West as they broadcast live from the Kelowna Rotary Centre to raise funds for Food Bank. Take part in the day's event that includes poetry reading to belly dancing. Be a part of the 25th Annual Food Bank Day in Kelowna!
