Who Can Vote?
You live in the City of Langley OR You own property in the City of Langley
Plus you must meet all of the following criteria:
- You must be a Canadian citizen
- You must be 18 years of age or older on general voting day (November 15, 2008)
- You must have been a resident of B.C. for at least six months immediately before you register to vote
- You must have been a resident of Langley City or owned property for at least 30 days immediately before you register to vote
- You have not been disqualified from voting
I.D. Required
You must provide at least two pieces of identification when you arrive to vote that contains at least one photo and one signature. Examples of acceptable I.D. are:
- B.C. Care Card
- Social Insurance card
- Citizenship Card
- Property tax notice
- Credit card or debit card
- B.C. ID card from Motor Vehicle Branch
- I.C.B.C. Owner’s Certificate of Insurance and Vehicle License
- Utility bill for electricity, natural gas, water, telephone or cable services

General Voting Day
Saturday November 15, 2008, 8:00am – 8:00pm
Advance Voting
For the first time, anyone is now welcome to participate in the advance voting sessions. Advance voting will take place:
Nov. 4 from 1pm – 8pm
Nov. 5 from 8am – 8pm
Nov. 6 from 8:30am – 4:30pm
Nov. 12 from 8am – 8pm

Mobile Voting Facilities
The City provides special voting opportunities in medical or assisted-living facilities for electors who suffer from an illness, disability or injury that makes them otherwise unable to participate in the other election opportunities.
