Langley City
Incorporated in 1955, Langley City has a total land area of 10.22 square km. It is bounded on the west by Surrey, and on the other three sides by Langley District. Langley City is in the Metro Vancouver District.
The 2006 census lists the City of Langley's population at 23,606 with 16.7% of residents being over the age of 65. 17.9% of the City’s population are immigrants with 82.9% declaring English as their first language. Chinese languages and German share the second spot listed as the most common for the region.
39.2% of Langley City's residents are renters. The median after-tax income for families is $56,290 with an unemployment rate of 5.0%.
