CBC Vancouver is proud to sponsor the Vancouver Writers Fest which will present six days of conversations, interviews, readings and performances with 100 writers from Canada and around the world.

The festival will kick off on October 21 with the Literati Gala Cabaret.
Hosted by CBC News Vancouver's Gloria Macarenko, this fundraiser will give you a chance to mingle with the authors and hear great music provided by Sal Ferreras and Poetic License.

Find an outstanding lineup of great writers in events for readers of all persuasions, including Nadeem Aslam, Margaret Atwood, Joseph Boyden, Anne Carson, Wayne Johnston, Rachel Kushner, Anne Michaels, Lisa Moore, Paul Muldoon, Marisha Pessl and Will Self.

The Festival will present two titans of Canadian theatre - Cree playwright and novelist Tomson Highway on stage with Québécois legend Michel Tremblay, in conversation with Bill Richardson, and events with non-fiction writers, George Packer, Eric Schlosser and Alan Weisman at UBC's Frederic Wood Theatre.  The Festival finale event at the Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage features comedian Colin Mochrie in his first appearance at the Vancouver Writers Festival.
