Join composer, author and pianist Rob Kapilow and musician, broadcaster and music educator June Goldsmith for a special North by Northwest musical book club with host Sheryl MacKay!

Rob Kapilow is best known around the US for his "What Makes it Great" series which started on NPR and which has been developed into full length concerts at Lincoln Centre in New York and around the country.  He has been invited to compose symphonies for orchestras around North America and has been a guest on NBC's Today Show and on Live From Lincoln Centre on PBS.

It's such a treat to be able to present Rob Kapilow once again in our book club.  The last time he was here he wowed the audience at CBC!  This time he's going to be talking about and playing short illustrations from his latest book, based on his series, What Makes it Great.  And having June Goldsmith on stage this time in conversation with Rob just makes it even better!

June is a long time musician, music educator and was the founder of the very successful Music in the Morning concert series in Vancouver. She is a regular contributor to North by Northwest.

Please note this event will be recorded for live broadcast.
