CBC Radio One's Daybreak North Raises Funds for the 26th Annual Food Bank Day on December 7

November 30, 2012 - Join CBC Radio One's Daybreak North hosts Betsy Trumpener and Leisha Grebinski for a special live broadcast on December 7 from 6 - 8:30 am. The public is also invited to an open house from 7 am - noon to raise money for CBC/Radio-Canada's Food Bank Day at CBC Studios in Prince George.

"The need for food banks continues to grow in BC," says Johnny Michel, managing director of CBC British Columbia. "We are pleased to be able to work with the community for this important cause."

Betsy will broadcast from CBC's studio in Prince George located at Unit 1, 890 Victoria Street and will be joined by Nova Voce choir, Jeremy Stewart, and Raghu Lokanathan. A CD & book sale will be held to raise money.

Leisha will be live at Cowpuccino's Coffee House located at 25 Cow Bay Road, Prince Rupert.

The public is encouraged to come down to either location, make a cash or food donation and enjoy some light refreshments.
