The 25th annual Vancouver Writers Fest returns this October.  David Suzuki of CBC's The Nature of Things will join the six-day celebration to discuss The State and Fate of this Small Blue Planet. Other authors in this year's lineup include Margaret Atwood, prize-winning Canadian authors Alistair MacLeod, Jane Urquhart, Vincent Lam, M.G. Vassanji and Rawi Hage, Pulitzer Prize-winner Junot Díaz and many more.

The Festival is a celebration of story, told by authors, poets, spoken word performers, and graphic novelists. This year's event is bigger than ever with 77 events taking place including panel discussions, interviews and musical collaborations, and the unveiling of a short story written by Alistair McLeod exclusively for the festival's silver anniversary.
