On Thursday, November 1, the 2012 Vancouver Human Rights Lecture will be presented by UBC and The Laurier Institution in collaboration with CBC Radio One. The lecture will be recorded for national broadcast on Ideas.

This year's guest speaker is Bob Watts, MPA. He has been involved in and led many major Indigenous issues in Canada over the past 20 years. Wth support from across the country and internationally, he worked to establish Canada's Truth and Reconciliation Commission, which is examining and will make recommendations regarding the Indian Residential School era and its legacy.
