One more day until CBC Live! A kick off to Culture Days


Don't miss this star-studded event 10 am - 10 pm, TOMORROW - Friday, September 30.

Things are buzzing as crews complete set up of the CBC Live site which includes three stages and an amazing lighting set up for an all day festival ending with a blockbuster concert.

Things get going at 10 am. Come down and join in the official opening with Q's Jian Ghomeshi and country music star Johnny Reid who will perform his hit "Let's Go Higher".

Stay for a full day of special broadcasts and the chance to meet your favourite CBC stars George Stroumboulopoulos, Chris Hyndman from Steven & Chris and Dragons' Jim Treliving, Robert Herjavec and Bruce Croxon, Erin Karpluk from Being Erica, CBC News Vancouver's Tony Parsons, Gloria Macarenko, Claire Martin and Shane Foxman and many more. Bring the kids for interactive activities and story time at Kids' CBC Tent with Mamma Yamma and Super Why!. Plus a fabulous Kids' CBC stage Show with Patty, The Cat in the Hat and a special performance by Amy Millan of Stars. Also, catch the live broadcast of CBC Radio One's On The Coast and CBC News Vancouver

Join Grant Lawrence in the CBC Live Lounge at 7 pm for a special Radio 3 - CBC Live Concert Countdown featuring interviews with The New Pornographers, Stars and The Midway State. This is a lead-up to the concert that starts at 8 pm featuring these amazing bands. 

Capacity for the concert is limited, so get here early.

Can't make it?
The event will be live tweeted at #cbclivevancouver, live streamed on the CBC LIVE website and concert also being streamed live on CBC Radio 3 and Sirius radio channel 152.  

The concert will be broadcast at midnight on CBC and repeated on Saturday at noon, and on Canada Live on CBC Radio 2 Monday, October 3 at 7pm.
