News Day in B.C. student auditions - Auditions are around the corner!
More than 200 students attended the journalism workshops September 25 and 26 and more than 100 students from Metro Vancouver are expected to attend auditions. They will pitch their best story ideas from the CBC news anchor desk in the hopes of securing one of 30 coveted spots as a News Day in B.C. student reporter for CBC Vancouver or the Vancouver Sun.

Saturday, October 2, 2010:
10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Sunday, October 3, 2010:
10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Students in grades 10,11 and 12 from across Metro Vancouver

About News Day in B.C. - CBC and the Vancouver Sun journalists mentor local high school students and help them tell the stories that matter to them the most. Topics are chosen by students and reflect what's happening in their communities.

News Day in B.C. is November 18. Stories will be heard on CBC Radio's The Early Edition and On The Coast, seen on CBC News Vancouver at 5, 5:30 and 6, appear on throughout the day and in The Vancouver Sun. On radio and tv, students will co-host segments, as well as report on sports and weather.
