CBC NEWS VANCOUVER IN RICHMOND SEPTEMBER 24

 

September 21, 2010 - As part of a commitment to connecting with the community, Tony Parsons, Gloria Macarenko and Shane Foxman will be speaking to students at McMath Secondary School (4251 Garry Street, Richmond, BC) about CBC Vancouver's student journalism initiative, News Day in BC, as well as broadcasting, and youth in media from 1 - 2 pm on September 24.

 

Also at 1 pm, Claire Martin will be speaking to students at Terra Nova Sharing Farm (2631 Westminster Hwy., Richmond, BC) about meteorology and environmental sustainability.

 

Following the speaking engagements, the team will be at the Richmond Night Market (12631 Vulcan Way, Richmond, BC) for a live broadcast of CBC News Vancouver at 5, 5:30 and 6 pm hosted with Tony Parsons, Gloria Macarenko, Claire Martin and Shane Foxman.

 

The broadcast will be preceded by performances by the Richmond Youth Honour Choir and the Boyd Drummers at beginning at 4 pm.
