BIO | Ron Duguay
Ron Duguay scored 274 goals in 860 NHL games over 12 seasons, but it was his glamorous lifestyle and Hollywood good looks that made headlines. The smooth skating player was drafted to the NHL in 1977 by the New York Rangers. Off the ice this Sudbury, Ontario, native hung out with Andy Warhol, partied at Studio 54, and enjoyed all New York City had to offer at the height of the disco era.

In 1993 Duguay added glam to his glitzy lifestyle when he married former supermodel Kim Alexis. In addition to his stint with the Rangers, Duguay played for the Detroit Red Wings and Pittsburgh Penguins. He finished his NHL career with the Los Angeles Kings. Recently he played with two Eastern Professional Hockey League teams: the Brooklyn Aces and the Jersey Rockhoppers.
BIO | Barbara Underhill
She's been inducted into the World Skating Hall of Fame, Canadian Figure Skating Hall of Fame, Canadian Sports Hall of Fame, and Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame. Barbara Underhill along with her partner Paul Martini were five-time National Pairs Champions from 1979-1983 and World Champions in 1984. In a 14 year professional skating career the pair earned seven World Professional Championships, two World Cup Professional Championships, and two U.S. Open Professional Championships.

Even a devastating fall at the 1984 Sarajevo Olympics couldn't stop them. Only a month later they came back to win the World Championships in Ottawa with a performance that still resonates with fans today. These days Underhill enjoys working with Junior and Pro hockey players. She coaches them on skating technique to enhance their performance on ice. Underhill is driven to raise more money for her charities and she's eager to re-connect with fans through BATTLE OF THE BLADES.

    Hi Everyone,

Well it has taken me a day to even be able to sit down and start to write something without getting all emotional again. It has been a roller coaster of emotions..I'm just so sad that it is all over , yet so happy that I had the opportunity to be able to skate again. I just didn't want it to end so soon, but that's how these shows go.

In a heartbreaking results show, fan favourites Barbara Underhill and Ron Duguay were the third pair sent home by the judges.  Tie and Tuffy also skated for their lives and on scores of 5.6,5.6 and 5.7 from the judges, it was enough to beat Barb & Ron's 5.5,5.5 and 5.6.  The competition is down to five pairs now, and as all the skaters know, they'll have to step it up and nail their performances in order to avoid being iced.
