Moscow-born Violetta Afanasieva is divine to watch on ice. After her memorable partnership with PJ Stock last season, she returns for Battle of the Blades Season 3 and promises to once again captivate the audience and judges alike with her stunning, exuberant performances and renowned extreme skating and acrobatic abilities.

Raised in a circus family, she competed at the national amateur level in Russia until she was 12 years old. She then started performing with her parents in the Moscow Circus on Ice which took them all over the world. While on tour with Holiday on Ice, she met her Canadian husband and on ice partner Pete Dack. Since 2000, they have been entertaining audiences with their dazzling routines that combine acrobatics, cirque and contortion. In 2006, they achieved their ultimate goal when they won the first-ever "Extreme Ice Skating World Champions" title in St. Petersburg, Russia, earning a perfect score from six of the seven judges.

They live in Peterborough, ON. In addition to the rigorous training and performance schedule of Battle of the Blades, Violetta is planning on creating a hula-hoop fitness video and studying graphic design this fall.
